Hi everyone,
So, as you've probably seen we've attracted a bit of attention in the past couple of days. This is great, it means more people to compete with and a richer community.
The downside is, either intentionally or by mistake, some folks are logging stuff that is clearly not, shall we say, reflective of reality. We don't want to allow that, and our team has been discussing it at some length.
We'd really appreciate your feedback - in comments here, or to @fleetly, or via email - regarding how best to deal with this. In a quick email to Simon aka Lapsed Pacifist earlier tonight, I suggested the following starters:
And that last point is really important. I don't know how Guy or Keith or Abby rack up the points they do but I believe it's true, and I also believe that sooner or later someone will show up who can log 2000 or more in a month. We've erred on the side of not penalizing great athletes, and I'd really like to think that whatever we come up with will honor that.
So, please weigh in and let us know what you think. Rest assured we'll deal with it, but we want to do that in the best way possible and hope you can help.
Thanks!
