
DESCRIPTION
Over the years, recreational running has grown tremendously with over 30 million regular runners in the US alone. This trend my be due in part to running being one of the easiest and most efficient ways to achieve a good calorie-burning cardiovascular workout since it can be done anywhere and requires basically no equipment.
Strengthening the muscles of the core and legs can help prevent possible running injuries, and if you're new to the sport, be sure to start out slow and gradually increase in intensity and volume.
