DESCRIPTION
Skiing: the act of strapping two long levers to your feet and pointing them down a mountain.
Whether you're alpine, freestyle, backcountry, or telemark skiing, to get through a full day on the hills, it helps to have strong legs (particularly the quadriceps and gluteal muscles) and torso. Furthermore, since the most common injuries in the sport are to the knee, strengthening the surrounding muscles in preparation for the season can help to prevent damage.
A strong base of cardiovascular endurance will help aid in recovery time between runs, while anaerobic endurace, quick hard bouts of exercise, will increase your speed down a single run.
