DESCRIPTION
Not to be confused with the Stepmill, the stair climber is not a revolving staircase, but foot pedals that move up and down as you shift your weight from one foot to the other. Like the elliptical trainer and stationary bike, the stair climber is a good low impact cardiovascular workout, and is a great cross training tool to take a break from running. Since it uses the large muscles of your lower body, you have the ability to work up a sweat and a lot of calories.
When using the stair climber, be sure you don't let the pedals touch all the way down to the bottom, and don't lean on the handrails.
